On 8th February 2022, Ontario held two separate draws. In the first draw, the province invited skilled candidates whose job profiles fall under tech National Occupational Codes of Canada. In the second draw, French-speaking candidates were given nominations to apply for Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Program.
The long-awaited decision was taken after a long ban on travel to Australia for almost two years. Many Australians experienced separation from their loved ones because of this preventative measure taken against Covid-19.
Nova Scotia held a latest draw of the year on 8th February 2022 wherein they issued invitations to 278 nurses to apply for permanent residency.
Candidates were nominated to apply for Canadian permanent residency under the OINP Employer Job Offer Category. Candidates who had profiles submitted under the express entry system and other streams were invited.
The province of British Columbia has been frequent with their draws in the past few months. After the last draw conducted on 25th January 2022, they released results for their latest draw on 8th February 2022.
With their first draw of the year held on 13th January, in this draw the applications were accepted under three streams namely, Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, and International Education Stream.
The immigration minister of Canada recently made a statement mentioning their increased immigration levels for this year and the coming ones ahead. It has decided on inviting almost 451,000 permanent residents by 2024, the highest record ever.
The Australian State has clearly stated that they will open their online portal for submission of Registration of Interest (RoI) from 16th February 2022, Wednesday.
