Being an employer-driven program, the Skilled Worker program of PEI allows people who are successful in obtaining a valid job offer from a certified employer in the province. To enter Canada under this program you must meet the eligibility requirements that are:

  • The applicant must have a valid Job Offer

  • The Job profile must be in a valid NOC category (Skill type O or Skill level A or B)

  • The applicant must have 2 years of past work experience in the recent 5 years

  • The job offer must be full time (non-seasonal)  and of 2 years

  • The applicant must meet the minimum language requirement of CLB/NCLB 4

PEI Critical Workers Program

Candidates currently working in the province of Prince Edward can apply to the Critical Worker program and have a chance at permanent residency.

  • The applicant must have 6 months of full-time work experience with the PEI employer

  • The job must be in the NOC (skill level C or D)

  • The applicant must have a job offer (full time - nonseasonal) valid for 2 years

  • The applicant must have a valid work permit and maintain legal status in the country

  • The minimum educational requirement is a secondary education diploma/degree

  • Age requirement: 18-59 years

  • Language requirements: CLB/NCLB 4

  • The applicant must have sufficient funds to go through with the application process and to maintain a decent lifestyle in Canada

  • The applicant must intend to live in the province

PEI International Graduates Program

The students who have graduated from a publicly funded institution on Prince Edward Island and now hold a valid job offer can apply to this program and permanently settle in the province.

  • The applicant must have a post-secondary degree/diploma from a publicly funded institution

  • They must hold a full time (non-seasonal) job offer

  • The applicant must have a valid post-graduate work permit and holds legal status in Canada

  • The candidate must meet the minimum language requirements of English/French as required by the employer

  • Age requirement: 18-59 years

  • The applicant must have sufficient funds to go through with the application process and to maintain a decent lifestyle in Canada

  • The applicant must intend to live in the province

PEI Work Permit Stream

People who are willing and capable to run or invest in a business in the province can choose to enter Canada and settle permanently under the Work Permit Stream. 

  • The applicant must have a personal net worth of at least $600,000

  • The minimum educational requirement is to have a secondary school diploma/degree

  • Minimum age requirements: 21-59 years

  • The applicant must have previous management skills/past employment in a relevant field regarding business/business ownership

  • The minimum language requirements: CLB/NCLB 4

  • The aspirant should have a genuine intention to settle in the province and must partake in daily business operations

  • One should positively meet the terms and conditions of the Performance Agreement signed with the Office of Immigration

PEI Express Entry

  • The applicant should be able to receive a provincial nomination

  • The job that they get offered must be in NOC (skill level O, A, or B)
