New Express Entry Draw On August 5 Sent 3,000 PR Invitations

On August 5, 2026, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada extended 3,000 invitations to apply for permanent residency via a Canadian Experience Class draw.

The 44th draw of 2026, and the second Express Entry draw of August, comes a day after the PNP draw on August 4, which marked the beginning of the month’s first draw cluster.

The 3,000 invitations represent a 50% increase from the 2,000 sent out during each of the prior two CEC rounds in July. This may be a sign that IRCC is increasing volumes as the second half of 2026 gets closer.
