New CRA My Account Breach Settlement Claims | Up to $5,000

Canadians who were affected can now submit compensation claims for a big government settlement that is connected to compromised Service Canada and CRA accounts.

The claims portal became available on August 4, 2026, allowing qualified class members to submit their first requests for payments of up to thousands of dollars.

This agreement results from a string of cyberattacks that impacted federal online accounts in 2020 and compromised thousands of Canadians’ personal and financial data.

The claim submission window will remain open for about six months, and the procedure has particular eligibility requirements that not all Canadians will fulfill.
