A significant change to the Disability Tax Credit application procedure was announced by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and will go into force on September 8, 2026.
The CRA will no longer consider versions of Form T2201 prior to 2023 for any new DTC applications as of that day.
Canadians who submit a version of the form older than 2023 after the September 8 deadline will have their application denied and will have to submit a new one.
