Canada’s consecutive Express Entry draw with 490 points
Making a solid comeback in 2023, Canada has held yet another Express Entry draw with drastically decreased cut-off scores. After the last draw which kick-started the year with a high CRS cutoff score, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada held another consecutive draw this Wednesday. On 18th January 2023, IRCC issued 5,500 invitations to apply for permanent residency with a minimum cut-off score of 490 points. This draw was an immensely relieving update for the candidates waiting in the Express Entry pool.
Canada Immigration Express Entry
The Express Entry system is a program that functions based on points allotted to the applicant according to six important elements. The applicant has to submit an EOI (Expression of Interest) that is then assessed and reviewed by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada which gives scores in terms of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), to the candidates. After the submission and assessment of the application, you enter the Express Entry Pool from where candidates having the highest CRS Score are selected.
