According to the CRA’s official benefits calendar, Ontario households eligible for the Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB) will get the first OTB deposit of 2026 on January 9, 2026.
The maximum Ontario Trillium Benefit support for an eligible family of four in 2026 is $3,230 for the benefit year.
Because OTB is not a stand-alone “application” like many benefit programs, it is one of the monthly supports that many Ontarians overlook.
It is a monthly payment (or occasionally a single lump sum) made up of up to three Ontario credits determined from your tax return.
