What is a Canada Work Permit?

A Canada Work Permit is granted to individuals who fulfill specific eligibility criteria. To apply for a Work Visa, you must first secure a job offer or an employment contract from a Canadian employer. The employer must also acquire a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), authorizing them to hire foreign skilled workers for roles that cannot be filled by Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
