New OINP Update: By declaring that it will reject all applications filed under the Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream, Ontario has dealt a serious blow to skilled trades immigration applicants.
Four days after we originally revealed on November 10 that the stream had been discreetly suspended via the OINP e-Filing Portal, this unexpected decision was made.
Internal signs at the time indicated that only newly submitted applications would be impacted and that files that were already being processed would proceed as usual.
