New Visa Launch in Italy: Digital Nomad Visa

Italy formally introduced its digital nomad visa in April 2024, following the passage of a remote worker statute in March 2022. Digital nomads from outside the European Union (EU) are able to live and operate legally in Italy with this visa.

The "Visa for Remote Workers," as it is officially called, is an Italian visa intended for independent contractors, self-employed people, and international workers who can carry out their work remotely with the use of digital means. Usually, the visa allows for a one-year stay with the option of extension.
