March 16 OINP Update: The Minister now has the authority to create or remove selection streams for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program due to a formal modification to Ontario’s provincial immigration law.
In compliance with the Ontario Immigration Act, 2015, Ontario Regulation 421/17 was amended on March 16, 2026.
This ability was formerly granted by the Working for Workers Seven Act, 2025, which significantly altered labor and immigration regulations.
