When the second quarterly adjustment of the year takes effect in April 2026, seniors in Canada will receive a little increase in their Old Age Security benefits.
According to the official OAS payment amounts page, the Government of Canada has declared that OAS payments will increase by 0.1% for the April to June 2026 quarter, bringing the year-over-year increase to 2.1% compared to April 2025.
The OAS program’s inflation-protection mechanism is maintained with this quarterly boost, which comes after seniors earned a 0.3% raise from January to March.
