The federal minimum wage in Canada is set to rise again on April 1, 2026. Employees in federally regulated companies should expect their hourly wage to rise from $17.75 to about $18.10 based on Statistics Canada’s inflation rate.
That represents a 35-cent hike. Not revolutionary, but not unimportant either.
The official announcement is typically made in March 2026 by Employment and Social Development Canada. But we already know the math.
