The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Essentials test will be accepted by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in the near future. At present, the IRCC still accepts no TOEFL Essentials scores or results, but it will provide an update to its official webpages as soon as its acceptance begins.
Through this, foreign nationals coming under its permanent economic immigration programs may undertake this test, which serves as evidence of English language proficiency.
