In the second half of January, another large Express Entry draw began, focusing on candidates who had previously worked in Canada.
On January 21, 2026, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) sent out 6,000 invitations to apply (ITAs) under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), with a 509 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off.
This sort of draw size has the potential to quickly shift the pool in favor of CEC candidates.
