January 2025: State of the Express Entry pool

In an effort to reach its 2025 landings goal, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has already started sending out Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through Express Entry this year, following a delayed December draw.

Last month, established trends in the types of Express Entry draws persisted, especially the preference for candidates with French language skills and those in enhanced Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). These trends can help predict which candidates the IRCC will likely invite in the future.
