Latest Express Entry Invites 4,250 Skilled Workers for PR

After a long haul, Canada made a pretty good comeback with the all-programs latest Express Entry Draw news held on 12th October 2022. In the latest federal Express Entry draw, the government invited 4,250 candidates for permanent residency in Canada. The cut-off score was four points down as compared to the last draw with the score being 500 points.

The applicant has to submit an EOI (Expression of Interest) that is then assessed and reviewed by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada who gives scores in terms of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), to the candidates. After the submission and assessment of the application, you enter the Express Entry Pool from where top candidates having the highest CRS Score are selected.

What is Federal Skilled Worker Visa?

This visa comes under the category of Express Entry. It allows experienced and skilled people to directly apply for Canadian Permanent Residency. It is one of the three subcategories of programs offered by the Canadian government to allow people in every phase of life to have a chance and get settled in Canada. All you need to have is working experience in one of the fields mentioned in the NOC.

What is Canada Experience Class Category?

It is a program that aids skilled workers having Canadian working experience of at least 1 year to apply for permanent residency and be a citizen. This is a very attractive choice for the people working there because, within 6-12 months, the applicant’s visa usually gets approved. So, you can also say that this route is the quickest if you already are a temporary resident of Canada and aspire to become a permanent one.

Merely making your profile and filling out the requirements won’t increase your chances of getting picked. For that, you need to keep certain things in mind.

  • Make sure that your IELTS score, Passport, and Express Entry Profile are up to date and not expiring anytime soon.

  • Improve English and French points if you think that you still have the slightest margin of rejection.

  • Focus on your work experience and try to get as much field exposure as possible so that your profile stands out.
