Canada’s New List Of PGWP Eligible Fields Of Study Effective June 2025

June 25, 2025, Ottawa— Today’s announcement of a significant amendment to the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) eligibility requirements has made significant adjustments to Canada’s International Student Program.

The Canadian government has released an updated list of acceptable subjects for international students enrolled in non-degree programs.

With effect from today, 178 fields of study have been eliminated from the eligibility list, while 119 new fields of study are now eligible for PGWP.
