Apprenticeship programmes are now open to some temporary foreign workers without the need for a study permission.

Information about this new study permit exemption has been made public by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Hold a valid work permit, have a job offer in an authorised construction occupation, and have an apprenticeship agreement with an employer for the work indicated in the job offer in order to qualify for this study permit exemption.
