December is a big month for Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) as multiple provinces have announced that they have fulfilled their 2025 nomination allocations.
In addition, some PNPs have admitted into circulation preliminary but significant information that 2026 will be more limited in numbers, sector-restricted (and even more) over-subscribed than before.
Unlike the run-of-the-mill draw announcements, these updates are literally changing who can apply, when they can apply, and which occupation or profile will stand a very realistic chance of getting invited to receive PNP in 2026.
