Between February 6 and February 19, 2026, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) conducted six provincial immigration draws covering several immigration streams.
In January of this year, the manufacturing sector was included as a priority for invitations, and the aforementioned drawings include the first draw for manufacturing jobs under the Alberta Express Entry stream.
Furthermore, the February 10 Rural Renewal stream draw (the biggest of the last two weeks) is the first under the program since the AAIP tightened eligibility requirements on January 1, limiting the number of annual community endorsements per designated community and requiring in-Canada candidates to have a valid work permit, among other restrictions.
