Canada Parents & Grandparents PR Visa Details

Expression of Interest: Potential sponsors must express their intention to sponsor their parents or grandparents by completing the online “Interest to Sponsor” form. Submissions are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Invitation to Apply: Selected sponsors will receive an invitation to submit a complete application along with all required documents within 60 days. A processing fee of CAD 1,080 applies.
Application Processing: After submission, the IRCC typically takes 20 to 24 months to process applications.

Canada Skilled Migration: Categories

There are three main programs under the Express Entry system out of which two are considered in the case of Indians or any other foreign national. These are:

Federal Skilled Worker (FSW): FSW allows candidates to directly apply for the status of permanent residency in Canada. Skilled workers who have previous experience in their field of work in their home country can check their eligibility to apply for Canadian PR through their Express Entry System.

Obtain police clearance certificates for your parents or grandparents.
Complete biometric requirements for your parents or grandparents.

Eligibility Criteria for Sponsorship

Must be a Canadian citizen or have Canadian permanent residency
Should be the child or grandchild of the person(s) being sponsored.

Sign a sponsorship agreement to provide basic needs for family members for the next 20 years.
Agree to reside in Quebec.
