Victoria State Sponsor Update: Addition of New Target Sector

Victoria has added a new target sector to its pre-existing PR List of occupations.

Victoria aims to turn itself into a global cultural hub in the next upcoming years. It plans to do so through their Creative State 2025 Strategy which is a four year plan designed specifically to grow jobs, develop skills and secure Victoria’s rank as the bold creative leader.
Applicants working in Visual Effects or Digital Animation can now apply for Australian Permanent Residency. Related occupations for this sector are:
- Multimedia Specialist
- Web Developer
- Graphic Designer
- Game Developer
- Illustrator
- Fashion Designer
- Architect
Earlier in the month of October, Victoria also released details for their latest invitation round held under their subclass 190, Skilled Migration Program. A total of 170 invitations were issued against the submission of Registration of Interest. For that round 62% invites were handed out for non-health sectors.
