24 New Occupations for Offshore Candidates
South Australia released a list of additional 24 Engineering Occupations as a measure for post COVID recovery. This addition was made to a pre-existing list of occupations that were released for candidates residing offshore. Through these occupations, eligible candidates can apply for South Australia’s Regional Sponsor.
To boost their economy the new occupations will take effect from 2nd November 2021. Not everyone can apply for a state nomination. To be eligible you must meet certain requirement criteria. Minimum Requirements for state nomination are:
- The applicant must have at least 8 years of prior work experience in the nominated occupation
- Demonstrate English Language Proficiency (IELTS Score 8 or PTE Score 79)
- Score minimum 85 points for Skilled Work Regional Visa (Subclass 491)
