South Australia Opens RoI for Overseas Applicants

South Australia re-opens the application portal for offshore candidates. This was a recent announcement made by the state benefiting the overseas applicants.

The Australian State has clearly stated that they will open their online portal for submission of Registration of Interest (RoI) from 16th February 2022, Wednesday. All eligible candidates residing offshore will be able to submit an RoI for any one of the 259 occupations listed on the State’s Skilled Occupation List.

The minimum eligibility criteria and requirements for a state nomination are different depending upon the selected occupation. It also varies according to the visa subclass being offered. The candidates will be able to see the details required in the same occupation list starting from 2 pm ACST, 16th February 2022, Wednesday.

In order to receive a positive state nomination all aspiring candidates must be able to meet the minimum requirements stated by the Department of Home Affairs and state-specific occupation requirements. They also must have past work experience and essential skills in the occupation available on the Skilled Occupation List. All candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be able to submit an RoI on the online portal.

The applications can be submitted for Australian Visa Subclass 190 (Skilled Nominated Visa) and Australian Visa Subclass 491 (Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa).
