Manitoba Invites 146 Candidates for PR

The province of Manitoba issued Invitations to Apply to candidates under various categories available under their provincial nominee program. The latest draw was held on 2 June 2022 wherein applications were accepted under two streams namely, Skilled Workers Overseas and International Education Stream. The Comprehensive System Ranking score for this draw differed for each category but the last category especially had no minimum CRS score cutoff. Not only this, out of the total ITAs issued, 34 candidates were invited under Express Entry System by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada who had a complete profile submitted under the System and fulfilled the remaining requirements of the province.

Skilled Workers Overseas:

  • ITAs Issued: 92
  • Minimum CRS score: 714

International Education Stream

  • ITAs Issued: 54
  • No minimum CRS score

A provincial nomination directly credits you 600 points on the Comprehensive Ranking System that is half of the total score of 1200 needed to get an Invitation to Apply. Although applying directly for permanent residency in Canada is the wiser decision, still having a provincial nomination always seems as a great backup plan.

Who cannot apply for MPNP?

Not everyone is allowed to apply for a PNP in Manitoba. Even if you qualify for the basic eligibility you won’t be allowed to apply if you fall under any one of the given points.

  1. People undergoing a removal process, refugee claimants, or if anyone is a part of a federal appeal

  2. Live-in Caregivers already residing in Canada

  3. Any candidate residing outside Manitoba as a temporary foreign worker

  4. Spouse of Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents

  5. Candidates whose applications underwent a refusal in the last six months and they are unable to explain the reason for refusal

  6. A candidate who has their application under review for any other Canadian program
