Latest Express Entry Draw invited 746 candidates

Published Date: 27th December 2021

Canada issued invitations to candidates under their Provincial Nominee Program on December 22, 2021.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada are ending the year with inviting more and more people in Canada to apply for permanent residency. A total of 746 candidates were invited by the Canadian Immigration Department to apply for permanent residency. The officials nominated candidates who had previously submitted application in the Expression of Interest System. The cutoff CRS Score for this draw was 720. The candidates who received the invitation were granted 600 points that boosted their CRS Score drastically. The candidates can use the invitation to apply for permanent residency. Without the nomination points the applicants would have had just 120 points.

What is Canadian Express Entry System?

The Express Entry system is a program that functions on the basis of points allotted to the applicant according to six important elements. The applicant has to submit an EOI (Expression of Interest) that is then assessed and reviewed by IRCC who gives scores in terms of Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), to the candidates. After the submission and assessment of application you enter the Express Entry Pool from where top candidates having the highest CRS Score are selected.

How will a Provincial Nomination help your Express Entry application?

The two major reasons because of which many people apply for the Provincial Nominee Program are:

  • 80 different streams under PNP: When you apply for a PNP you get the luxury of choosing from 80 different options provided by different province. Although there can be some provinces which may or may not offer some of the streams but they surely have an appropriate replacement. The options/streams are healthcare, tech, finance and accounts, human resource, etc.
  • +600 points for ITA: The CRS gives you rank on the base of the points that you are allotted. There is a total of 1200 CRS points out of which whoever scores the highest has the most chances of getting an ITA. If you are approved by a province and have the nomination certificate for the same, you automatically get 600 more points in your CRS score which guarantees you approval for a permanent residency in Canada.
