IRCC Announces New Fees for PR Applications

Canada plans on increasing the fee on permanent residence applications w.e.f 30th April 2022.
On 5th April 2022 Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada announced the hike in the PR application fee in regards to persisting inflation in the country. The main categories that will experience the increase will be economic, permit holders, humanitarian and family classes. The last time that the country saw this increase was in 2020 after a huge gap from 2002. What’s more is that government stated clearly at the time that the fee rise will take place every two years to account for the inflation trends of Canada.
