
Canberra issues more nominations for offshore candidates
In the draw held on 16 June 2022, Canberra nominated candidates whose applications were submitted under some of the major streams offered by Australia being 457 Temporary Work (Skilled) Visa / 482 Temporary Skill Shortage Visa holders and Critical Skill Occupations. The applicants for 491 and 190 visas were nominated to apply. The Australian Capital Territory region only has a selected number of slots to allot each month. Hence, only the highest-scoring candidates or the ones with the most relevant job profile and experience get the chance of nomination.

The state of Canberra has been quite frequent with their invitation rounds by organizing one every month since the start of the year. Applicants having a background or past working experience in any of the fields in high demand have a good chance of receiving invitations from Canberra.
