On Friday, July 3, 2026, the CRA will deposit the new Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit payment into bank accounts throughout the nation.
As part of a slew of new regulations taking force in July, this deposit replaces the quarterly GST/HST credit with continuously greater quantities that are 25% higher than the previous program and are locked in for five years in a row through 2031.
