In order to protect the rights and interests of migrant workers, the first Migrant Workers Centre in New South Wales (NSW) has been established. To finance this project, the Minns Labour Government has committed to investing $6.5 million over four years. The centre will be run by Unions NSW in partnership with Multicultural NSW and the Immigration Advice and Rights Centre (IARC), guaranteeing that migrant workers in metropolitan, regional, rural, and remote locations may access culturally appropriate support.
